Fernando Moran MD

Was born in El Paso, TX and grew up in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. He obtained his medical doctor degree at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas RGV, Dr. Moran moved to Tampa, FL to do a Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of South Florida. Due to his special interest in Transplant Medicine, Dr. Moran pursued and completed a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Moran is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and completed certification in Transplant Nephrology. He is interested in optimizing the care of patients with chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, with special interest in transplant medicine. Dr. Moran strongly believes that kidney transplantation is the best choice for qualified patients, thus enjoys evaluating patients for candidacy and following up after they get their transplant. Dr. Moran is actively working as a Transplant Physician for the only transplant program in El Paso.
